Freshman Fall 2009
High Point University

I am a high school senior that will be attending High Point University in Fall 2009. I am interested in learning more about the ARAMARK services, especially in the community.

Kiera – We’re sure you’re looking forward to starting at High Point in the fall and we appreciate your question about ARAMARK’s community involvement. HPU Dining Services currently participates in a number of community initiatives both on and off campus. We work directly with an Asian refugee organization and with ARC (Association of Retarded Citizens) to hire employees. Additionally, our food and other donations help sponsor student activities such as the Big Brothers, Big Sisters bowling team and fraternity and sorority initiatives which include MLK day events and tree plantings. Outside of campus, ARAMARK’s Star Teams (groups of ARAMARK employees) have participated in Samaritan’s Feet – raising money for shoes in underprivileged countries and often donate food to the local food ministry. We are always looking for some additional help, so make sure you talk to your Dining Director to see how you can lend a hand. Feel free to check out the “Our Communities” section of this site to see more ways that ARAMARK is working in our communities all around the country.
