University of Toledo
On Monday, February 23rd I encountered my very first visit to the University of Toledo’s Provisions on Demand (P.O.D.). I was excited to see the selection of items that were offered; a wide variety of beverages, snacks, grab and go sandwiches, coffee, and more. To be honest, at first glance I became severely jealous at the underclassmen that are going to now be able to visit the P.O.D. for their collegiate years, where I am only going to get a few months to enjoy it. While looking around at the entirety of the P.O.D. Market, I overheard two underclassmen who were conversing with each other. Their conversation truly made me chuckle and smile alike. The one friend was telling the other that a few of their friends had asked them to go eat at Ottawa and Parks for lunch with them. He replied, “No dude, I want to go to the P.O.D…” The young man and friend then started to talk about how much they enjoyed coming to the P.O.D. to pick something up quickly and then just either return back to their dorm or hurry off to class. My first time visiting P.O.D. will certainly not be the last one. I was also happy to see that other University of Toledo students were also enjoying the new concept on campus. The P.O.D. is a great addition to the University of Toledo, and I am personally very ecstatic to see what else is to come for my duration here.
