Food Drive Brings Some Holiday Cheer to Families in Need

Boston University Dining Services participated in the First Annual Elizabeth Peabody House Holiday Food Drive this November. Several locations across ARAMARK's Northeast Region came together to collect and distribute approximately 5,500 Thanksgiving food items to feed over 1,250 people in the Greater Boston Area.

Food drive locations included three Wear Guard sites, Boston University, Pine Manor, Simmons College and the Elizabeth Peabody House in Somerville.

Friends of ARAMARK's Boston University partners at Fenway Park made a very generous donation to complete the food baskets for each family. The Thanksgiving baskets included among other things a turkey, fresh pie, apples, whole wheat bread, fresh vegetables, potatoes, gravy, stuffing and cranberry sauce. The children from the Elizabeth Peabody House added their own special, handmade cards with warm holiday wishes.

A great relationship has been fostered between ARAMARK and the Elizabeth Peabody House, and this partnership will continue to contribute all it can to its local community.

Special thanks to all of those who donated their time and energy to make this year's food drive a success. Here's to making our food drive truly thrive.
