Wesley and Aramark partner to help Haiti

Wesley College students rose to the occasion to offer financial assistance to Haiti with the help of Aramark Food services! They were offered the chance to forgo a meal in Dulany Hall and donate the cost to Haiti relief. Over a two day period in January, a total of 248 students gave by fasting 342 cafeteria meals.

The total amount donated was $1055.86. Thanks to their generosity, Aramark was able to write a check in this amount for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). This agency of The United Methodist Church is currently on the ground in Haiti, helping in the recovery of the country from its disastrous earthquake. Bishop Peggy Johnson of the Peninsula-Delaware Annual Conference received the check on Monday, March 22, on behalf of UMCOR from John Gula, Director of Food Services at Wesley College.
